BREAKING: Jess Fishlock will retire at the end of the 2026 #NWSL season. She spent every NWSL season since league inception in 2013 with the Reign and she's the last club original (one of three in the league from 2013). I spoke with Fishlock about her decision and her career:

Claudia Dickey now holds club records in…
👑 shutouts (15)
👑 saves (190)

A strong month for the Boise, Idaho native, who extended her NWSL assist record with a multi-assist performance in Spokane, just ~400 miles from her hometown.
That’s now three out of a possible four NWSL Best XI of the Month selections for Sofia Huerta since returning from loan last August.
Even more significant, this marks the first time in club history that Reign FC has had at least five goal scorers and five players record an assist through the opening four matches of a season.
Thanks to @keepernotes.bsky.social for helping confirm!
Reign FC’s depth has been on display through four matches, with five different goal scorers (second-most in the NWSL) and a league-leading five players recording an assist.
Jess Fishlock, 39, scored the first goal, and Ainsley McCammon, 18, has the team’s latest assist.

Jess Fishlock, the last one-club #NWSL original player, is back for a 14th year in Seattle. She told @espn.com:
"From the moment I moved here, I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to leave. I’ve wanted to build my whole career here because of the deep meaning that it has for me.”
Dear Seattle 💌
A love letter to the Emerald City from Lu Barnes. 💙
10 - With her goal on Friday, @reignfc.com's Sofia Huerta became the third player to score a goal in 10 different #NWSL seasons (Christine Sinclair, Jess Fishlock - 11 each). Tradition.
4 - @reignfc.com's Maddie Dahlien is the first player in #NWSL history whose first four career regular-season goals were all match-winners. Crucial.
Only four players in @nwslsoccer.com regular season history have recorded 30+ goals and 30+ assists — and three of those players are on our current roster. 👑 #ReignTogether
