Ah OK, I really hope you can work it out...... and bring a cat home!

A reason like an allergy or phobia or something would be better. No because just no is digging your heels in. We have a saying about picking your battles. I hope your guy doesn't pick this as a battle and you can have your cat(s)!!

Yeah, in theory, your desire to get the cat should way override just not really wanting one. Plus you're right, it would be great! But I really get being a 'no' person on these things too.

I'd say if it's really important, you should have a cat. That said, I've been a block on all our pets at some point but they've all been magic! I can see both sides here!

Tricky one. I guess you feel like there should be a solid reason for not having a cat because you really want a cat. And if there isn't one, you should have a cat, right?
