Victor Glover on Artemis II crew dynamics:

“Yes, we get along well, but we ALSO disagree well.”

Love this framing! I tend to approach disagreements with an open mind for resolution, but I like this slight pivot in mindset.

From NASA:

“NASA astronaut Victor Glover, Artemis II pilot, left, and NASA astronaut Christina Koch, Artemis II mission specialist are seen sitting on a Navy MH-60 Seahawk from Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 23 on the flight deck of USS John P. Murtha after they and fellow crewmates CSA (Canadian Space Agency) astronaut Jeremy Hansen, Artemis II mission specialist, and NASA astronaut Reid Wiseman, Artemis II commander, were extracted from their Orion spacecraft after splashdown, Friday, April 10, 2026, in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of California. NASA’s Artemis II mission took the quartet on a nearly 10-day journey around the Moon and back to Earth. Following a splashdown at 5:07 p.m. PDT (8:07 p.m. EDT), NASA, U.S. Navy, and U.S. Air Force teams are working to bring the Orion spacecraft aboard the recovery ship.”

Listening to Jeremy relay his observations re: ruggedness of the 🌖 terminator… it just hit me how incredible this must be through their own eyes.

Imagine the most spectacular place you’ve ever been. Did the pictures do it justice? A little bit, right?

But / not / fully. #ArtemisII

#ArtemisII Lunar Approach 📸🌔

🌊 When you dive on the HOV Alvin, each Observer has a tablet + we were tasked w/ meticulous record-keeping. The anticipation was v. stressful.

Now, imagine floating in that small "office" while looping around the moon + ensuring you record... EVERYTHING 😮‍💨

Interesting! In the Arctic, we also see similar distinct IRD peaks at 18ka (indicating ice rafting pulses to the Fram Strait... broken down by circumArctic groups- BIG time pulses sourcing to the Barents Sea Ice Sheet).
