Out today in ChemRxiv, we report the synthesis of 1,2-diazepines-fused β-lactams under gentle photochemical activation. Commercially available 1-aminopyridinium iodide can be directly engaged in a one-pot sequence. KUDOS to Jules for his dedication to the project!
