Jeff is laughing at something that he finds amusingly hilarious, but it appears Gary doesn’t seem to be paying attention, nor even care. He is either thinking about life choices or he is struggling to understand Jeff’s humor. Either way, he remains unresponsive as Jeff points out on whatever he’s laughing at.
Jeff’s expression becomes blank and stays quiet just like Gary. A moment of silence until the naive Jeff bursts into such hysterical laughter as Gary actually looked over to him. Now he’s confused. It’s either he doesn’t understand Jeff’s humor or that he doesn’t get whatever he’s laughing at.
