Big Lives - our Big Plan - United Response Big Lives is our new Big Plan, taking us from 2026 to 2030, helping us to become the most coproduced, outstanding provider of social care

United Response exists because we want to break down the barriers in the way for the people we support and for all people with a disability.

And while we’re proud of our work so far, we have big ambitions for the future.

Today’s the day - our Big Lives plan is finally here! 🥳

Everyone deserves to live a great life. But for many people with learning disabilities and autistic people, too often, they don’t have equal access to that gloriously ordinary aspiration.

Residential Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (Residential PEEPs) New regulations to improve the fire safety of disabled and vulnerable people in high rise and higher risk residential buildings.

This recognition highlights her exceptional work on the legislation introducing residential PEEPs. As a result, and following UR’s lead, everyone across wider society who may need assistance during an emergency or fire will now have a clear, documented evacuation plan in place.

We’re very proud to share that Shonagh Methven has been shortlisted for Risk Leader of the Year at the Women in Governance, Risk and Compliance awards.
