How are you building trust in your market?

Instead, if you create the right content to build the Trust that you can affect the conversion in someone's situation, then you start acting like one of those rare earth magnets, and you Pull clients towards you.

So I'm thinking a lot about building trust magnets in my life and in my content.

From the sh*t that they're in now, to the better version of themselves, their business, and their lives.

That's all that sales is about.

But a lot of us are inverting this.

We're putting sales first. Cold email, Ads, Push, Push, Push.

Then they Like us...cause our content is good, they vibe with our POV, and they associate themselves with us.

But when they Trust us is when we've proven that we can build the bridge...we can get them from where they are today to the promised land.

cause when we're talking about building momentum in a market, it's about future customers in that market Knowing, Liking, and Trusting us.

Trust comes last for a reason: it's the hardest to earn.

First people Know us. That's great, but it doesn't move the needle in a business relationship.

Seems like the thing most people in the Creator Economy and Personal Brand space are missing the boat on.

Lots of talk about building thought leadership, but that's really secondary to building Trust.

Me: …thinks…”Managing I guess. Email, meetings, priorities. And then marketing”

Him: “what makes you the most money?”

Me: “marketing and sales. For sure”

Him: “why don’t you just do that?!”

and with AI coming for all of us, there's no place I'd rather be because I have as much control and optionality as I possibly can.

I’m very aware that this is an inflection point.

At the very least, happy to be along for the ride and play a small part.

At best, hoping to really help move the needle forward.

Very hopeful for the future.

But seeing what’s happening around us every day now is amazing:

- A.I. changing literally everything
- rockets going into space (and back)
- self driving cars
- tectonic shifts in education
- crypto still holding on and going mainstream for govts

and it’s so cool to be aware that we’re in the midst of a societal shift.

We first got internet (AOL) when I was in middle school, so I didn’t grok the potential.
