We are working to develop opportunities for participation across our school.
Reflecting on The Lundy Model, we are considering how we enable participation through space, voice, audience and influence.
We would love to hear any ideas for how we can extend these areas further.
Our school community have been recognised in 3 categories of this year's Highland Hero Awards! We would really appreciate your votes: Emily Ross - Brave Child of the Year; Chi Meldrum - Primary Teacher of the Year; Muirtown Primary - School of the Year

Speechless by @mrwolfcomics.bsky.social (creator of Mr Wolf's Class) is a masterpiece. So many children, and adults, will be able to relate to Mira and her struggles to speak in public. It's a book bursting with empathy and a perfect graphic novel for the Y5/6 bookshelves. Do track down a copy.
Delighted to receive this from @scottishbooktrust.bsky.social #ReadingSchools @muirtownprimary.bsky.social ππ

If it's helpful to schools and teachers, below is the link to a year's worth of picturebook assembly suggestions that have a focus on empathy, diversity, equality and inclusion. They're all books I've used and loved. #edusky padlet.com/Jon_Biddle/r...
