Using it in 3D with (0, 0, 1) generated a NaN.
I don't like that glm allows "silent" conversions like this. A reason why all conversion constructors are explicit in my lib.

Got bid by an implicit conversion bug today. I'm using a function that takes 2 glm::vec2's and computes the cosine between them (normalizes the vectors).
Then I forgot I didn't have a vec3 version.
If you see this, I implore you to post a picture from whatever drive you’re using with no explanation
If you use GitHub (especially if you pay for it!!) consider doing this *immediately*
Settings -> Privacy -> Disallow GitHub to train their models on your code.
GitHub opted *everyone* into training. No matter if you pay for the service (like I do). WTH

"MRC Various Artists Volume 1" is a very good compilation of #techno music.
Liking almost everything on the record, especially the first one, Lost in Suffering by Amstra.

Reminds me of this trend on Facebook to put a fake birthday date just to see who knew the real one 😄😄
"Having people that you barely (or don't) know at all wish happy birthday on a giant 200+ participants Teams chat" is the new "having people that you barely know wishing you a happy bithday on your Facebook wall".
😵💫
Really looking forward(+ :D) to dig in it once I go back to Vulkan development. It's gonna be super useful for anyone wanting to know more about the API.
Very interesting : Khronos just released a tutorial on how to build a Vulkan game engine that goes from the fundamentals to advanced topics like PBR and Forward+ rendering (it's a work in progress).

Mildly interesting facts that come with learning Farsi:
Just discovered Tadjikistan's capital, Douchanbé, literally means "Monday" in Persian because of its market historically open on Mondays.
Cannot make that sh*t up 😭🤣
An email title saying "Everything from your steam wishlist is now on sale!"
I have to say this email caught my attention... Alas, it was just one game. 🥺
We invented the Internet to work remotely. Then developed all the tools we might need. Then had a world historical event prove that remote work was effective and necessary.
Since I became a team lead, a significant part of my time is devoted to managing a Jira board.
I am relieved to see other people online share the same opinion as me about this tool:

(We have an in-home Excel add-on that makes it suck a bit less, but still)
Roses are red,
Punch Nazis.
Discord lied.
they’re now sending scanned IDs to persona, a third party company.
“facial scans will never leave your device” -discord lmao.
After enjoying DanDadan from them, I have great hopes for Science Saru's adaptation of Ghost in the Shell !
Lol 🤣

It took me a few minutes to realize it's a (partial?) cover of Duvet by Bôa, the opening song of Serial Experiments Lain.
Interesting how they turned this rock song into atmospheric drum'n'bass... lol
Damn.
The original post's URL was missing a single hyphen at the end.
The correct link is this one, obviously.

Now... One could wonder why they would decide to essentially step him down from this important position...
In French we say "on ne change pas une équipe qui gagne" ("never change a winning team").
Now if the team needs a change, maybe it wasn't winning all that much. Just saying . . .
"Côté claims the offer essentially served as a demotion" Yup... I think everyone else understood it like this too.

This is still early, but it gives directors so much creative freedom when you know you can just adjust all performances after the fact, it's going to be a game changer.
The FOMO is real. I wish I had a couple of months in a cave to catch up on this new technology. 😂
It's krazy (with a k) that gaussian splatting is advancing so fast. I heard that a clip of A$AP Rocky used GS to capture the actors volumetrically and render them as dynamic splats:

I would like to see that.
I know nowadays as a gamer, Steam Proton does wonders to play Windows-only games on Linux, but as a gamedev, I still use Visual Studio (not VS Code) as my main IDE, and my last try at Unreal Engine on Linux a few years ago was pretty catastrophic. The main reason why I stay
Tweet by Jatin @jatinkmalik The reason why RAM has become four times more expensive is that a huge amount of RAM that has not yet been produced was purchased with non-existent money to be installed in GPUs that also have not yet been produced, in order to place them in data centers that have not yet been built, powered by infrastructure that may never appear, to satisfy demand that does not actually exist and to obtain profit that is mathematically impossible
À l'inverse des pays anglo-saxons, où la chasse aux syndicats est encore la norme (cf. Ubisoft Halifax récemment...), la France a la chance d'avoir un tissu syndical solide !
