When the Pats (other sport, I know) were 4-13 it wasn't the losing that bothered me, but how dull the games were. Just uninspired.

Omg. I read half of THE MIXED UP FILES OF MRS. BASIL E. FRANKWELLER in 6th grade and never finished it (reasons). Age 40, I mentioned the basic plot to my school's librarian and she just pulled it off the shelf.
Finished the book 30 years late.
There was a great B plot of THAT 70S SHOW where Red won a VCR and so didn't watch the final episode of ROOTS (even as he sat on his couch at that time) because he had the VCR. Which, of course, didn't record.
Such an obvious outcome but I laughed the whole ride.

Not sure about UK, but you can't be more American than being mixed race. I've never seen people more proud than when they get their results back from one of the ancestry DNA places and beam about being 3% something.

The school has to demonstrate growth for that kid AND better scores than the local public school AND better success the kid's categories (gender, poverty, disability). Set the bar high.

This is a depressing element of paying homeschoolers I had not considered. Sigh. I figured the parents who randomly pulled their kids were cranks only (we also have some very nice homeschool parents).
