You can be the most privileged, white, bootlicking, queer person and Republicans will still harm you just because you are queer.

On this day in history, April 17, 1959 (67 years ago): Joan Crawford and her beloved husband Alfred Steele (CEO of Pepsi-Cola) were in Washington, D.C., where they presented President JFK with an award for his service to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

The movie system today is broken. It is not about motivation to go to a theater, it is a luxury now. We need to make the theaters financially accessible across the board.

Yes we need movie theaters. But the part of the conversation I am not hearing is how expensive going to the movies is for the average family today.

After tickets and concessions you are looking at quite high prices which for me personally, is why I no longer go as much as I would love to.

I am sorry you had a poor experience. I wonder since they are a Good Neighbor Hotel if you could let Disney know about your experience too. They used to have high standards for Good Neighbor branded places.

50 years ago today, on April 16, 1976, legendary photographer George Hurrell wrote to his close friend and muse, Joan Crawford. Over the years their creative partnership produced thousands of striking images, helping to define Hurrell’s legacy. The enclosed portrait was from a 1930 session.

I tell ya one thing, I have spent years researching and debunking the Mommie Dearest lies about Joan Crawford but people really would rather believe the sordid tales over the truth. It is quite sad.

At CinemaCon this week Steven Spielberg said, “If all we make is known branded IP, we’re going to run out of gas. There is nothing more important than giving the audience visual stories, and they can be in any form, but we need to tell more original stories.”

The fact that Disney+ does not have the Bette Davis film “The Watcher In The Woods” for streaming is dreadful.

Just finished watching Harriet Craig (1950) starring Joan Crawford.

An excellent film. It was fun seeing “I Love Lucy” guest stars Ellen Corby (from the episode ‘Lucy Meets Orson Welles’) and Kathryn Card (who played Lucy’s mother, Mrs. MacGillicuddy) in the movie too.

I feel like I was born in the wrong generation. Everything I love is from the 1930s to the 1970s.

My soul craves old Hollywood, the pop culture and the art. I am so thankful most of it is preserved to enjoy today.

I would’ve been the cutest queer man back then! Haha

This was an absolutely fabulous film. Tackling racism, greed, corruption and breaking the generational curse you are handed.

Loved every second of it.

I just saw “Rain” starring Joan Crawford again for the second time in two days.

I cannot take my eyes off of her, she is absolutely fantastic as Sadie.

The story about religious hypocrisy really spoke to me too. I honestly feel she should have won an Oscar for this role.

If kids can press play on Disney+ and watch Who Framed Roger Rabbit, they can handle seeing Jessica Rabbit in her dress at Disneyland.

The censorship of that ride is silly.
