Recently discovered photograph of the patient Alice J. Liddell, taken circa October 1865, approximately one week prior to her originally reported discharge from Rutledge Asylum. Liddell, a Scottish immigrant, was admitted to the institution a decade earlier following a house fire that resulted in the deaths of her parents and severe psychological and physical trauma. No further information regarding her whereabouts or condition after this time is available, as she was reported missing the following day.
