The best films of 2025 i saw in 2025* *the only ones In 2025 I didn’t see many films released in 2025. (I saw 5.) It doesn’t surprise me. My theater-going habit has declined with the rest of the country. Plus as noticed in the results …

(I did see Eddington in 2025. But didn't remember that until long after this was written. A forgettable Ari Aster film? Apparently that can happen)

"PROVE ME WRONG"

"Show me a single fucking clip in the past 8 yrs of Donald Trump speaking INTELLIGENTLY about any policy decision, domestic or foreign."

"YOU WILL NOT FIND A SINGLE ONE. Not a single clip of the POTUS speaking like he has any fucking idea about policy whatsoever."

A Shining Mausoleum on a Hill Life, death, and the rampage of ICE.

"Americans have been misled by pundits who proclaim the US a 'nation of laws.' It makes no difference if the US is a nation of laws when courts are selective in their application. Autocracies are nations of laws, too." sarahkendzior.substack.com/p/a-shining-...

I was telling one of my kids that it was physically impossible for an ad to play between songs on any of the records I own, and they asked "and you only have to pay for it once?" and you could see how strange that seemed. You cannot overstate how many basic rules of media consumption have changed.

He's so happy he's shitting himself. I mean he's always shitting himself, that's what the diaper is for, but here it's because he's happy.

It's on the Criterion Channel right now. I had waited for it for awhile. Maybe a Janus release in the future?

The crisis of elite impunity that is ruining our society cannot be more clearly or convincingly demonstrated than with the fact that all of these people wrote all this stuff into an email and hit Send.

He’s parading his scams in public constantly already. Coins, TrumpRX, his social media platform, ads for resorts on Gaza, FIFA deals, etc.

Well-reported piece on publishing. But what I've found is that great sales make your publisher mad at you. I earned out my advance on all of my books, which I know is rare, and thought would be good. But I got treated worse with each book, down to them not even providing books to a sold-out launch.

If it weren't for Obama's constant ridiculous bipartisan offerings to these racists, Comey wouldn't have been appointed.

That seems to be the norm now, to just not talk about how he's falling apart weekly right in front of us. Making policy decisions based on images on his shiny wall tvs.

China won the electric car race. Up next: freight trucks Nine Chinese giants dominate a market Tesla and Volvo can barely crack.

BYD, the Chinese automaker that overtook Tesla in electric car sales last year, is now shipping electric freight trucks to Italy, Poland, Spain, and Mexico. In total, Chinese companies accounted for 80% of the world’s 90,000 electric cargo truck sales last year
