Finished the wonderful “The Luminaries” by Catton on the trip back from Aussie land last week. This week going to try to make some headway on Infinite Jest while out to Drug Discovery Chem, San Diego.
I read it twice back to back in my sophomore year (and hoovered up most everything else Dickens too). Splendid, morbid and yes Bleak. Dan Simmons is a nut but his take on Drood is also fantastic
