Games press 100% needs to lead more with centering the names of the people that bring us the games we love instead of just studio names, and the games themselves 100% need to credit every person with fingerprints on the game at any point in its dev process.

... But gamers tend to have studios that they trust to make stuff they like without ever knowing if the people at those studios that made the things that earned that trust are still there.

This works in favor of execs & shareholders, but definitely hurts people that actually make and play games.

It's bizarre to me how few names there are in the game dev world that have made it to the broader consciousness of gamers. A couple musicians like Danny Baranowski and Mick Gordon, a handful of directors like Todd Howard and Yoko Taro, a few visual artists like Ikumi Nakamura and Tetsuya Nomura...

Bluesky should not get into this idea that blocking you is a problem. You can be blocked for any reason. You can be blocked because your pfp is annoying. You can be blocked because your vibe sucks.
