Wait, it's even easier! The bonuses won't be paid until after Trump is gone. So all the Dem candidates have to say is "hey, recruits who are hoping to skate by on faulty HR processes: I'll make sure you're fired before you see a dime."

Don't even need clawbacks!

You’ve Heard About Who ICE Is Recruiting. The Truth Is Far Worse. I’m the Proof. What happens when you do minimal screening before hiring agents, arming them, and sending them into the streets? We're all finding out.

A few months ago, ICE hired me

I didn't sign and submit any paperwork. I almost certainly failed the drug test. I'm real outspoken about my opposition to the Trump administration, and I am extremely googlable

And yet, there it was, in plain English. "Welcome to ICE!"

According to IMDb, the actor is 5'11" so no way he *needs* to tie it like this. The front of the tie looks too short to be at his belt buckle, but hard to see from this frame

As someone who is short, in order to get the front (long) part of the tie to hit the top of my belt buckle, I need the back (short) part of the tie to be nearly the same length as the front. The trick is to make sure they never split like this.

I have no idea how tall this actor is though, so...

"The biggest trouble I had was managing Sy at a newspaper that hated to be beaten but didn't really want to be first. The Times was scared to death of being first on a controversial story that challenged the credibility of the government."

Cover Up is an amazing doc, especially as someone who has a big gap in 1960-80s Americans politics but this quote from Bill Kovach, former editor of NYT, tells you everything you need to know about how the Times currently thinks:

I mean, I unequivocally love Eric Adams. Terrible politics but the man is basically perfect otherwise

Sliwa is totally nuts with bad politics, but in the same way Eric Adams was totally nuts with bad politics? It takes an incredible person to be Mayor (or want to be Mayor).

At least Sliwa is a cat guy

AI startup Tavus founder says users talk to its AI Santa ‘for hours’ per day | TechCrunch Tavus has launched a new experience where you can chat with an AI Santa that asks personal questions and remembers your interests.

Interesting use of technology, but maybe don't build something that specifically is targeted at and exploits children and then brag about how addictive it is?

Many people will write about how cheap big TVs have become - but many TV screens (even smaller ones) produce better picture quality than theaters. Non-enthusiasts have *soundbars* that rival some theaters.

The home experience has been upgraded 10x or even 100x for many consumers

Will Arnett was on Conan and told a story about how Conan dealt with the death of his parents by accusing Jason Bateman of killing them. It’s so funny.

My mom used to string up two sets of lights on the tree and switch from white to color based on the night. Sundays in Advent? White. Christmas Eve? Colors.
