Photograph of a small auditorium where a speaker, standing on a podium in front of a projected presentation slide, is talking to a seated audience.
One of the most inclusive, accessible & affordable events of its kind, @archscot.bsky.social has released the programme for Scotland's 'Archaeological Research in Progress' conference & it's another excellent group of projects/speakers! 👍

Wow! Though I’d like to hear the unrestored transfer for comparison

Labour ought to be challenging the SNP for scaling back active travel since the coalition ended, not carrying on like this. Utterly disheartening

Best way to ‘fix the roads’ is if we all drive less
One month left to apply for grants in Scottish History from the Strathmartine Trust #history #scotland
Four tall paintings in identical gilt frames against a green wall. They show women at work in a boot factory.
Love these paintings in Kingswood Heritage Museum showing women at work in GB Britton & Sons’ Bristol shoe & boot factory
Sadly no info on the artist or when they were painted @artukdotorg.bsky.social @workingclasshistory.com

It's public now: Glasgow City Council, who some years ago announced a plan for 270km of cycle lanes by 2030, now intend to build 54km by 2032. They blame Transport Scotland. I don't care who's fault it is - you're all the SNP. Sort it out.
Thanks for that, yes got a few days to see if things change 😬
Does anyone know if Avanti West Coast are running a bus between Glasgow & Motherwell?
I hope they get a drone up there & scan the façade before demolition starts
A man talking animatedly in front of a screen with his name, Edgar Wright, in large white letters.
The corner of Union & Gordon Streets in Glasgow with a burnt out & partially collapsed four storey Victorian sandstone building.
Took a detour to see the devastation on Union/Gordon St on the way to a Q&A with Edgar Wright at the GFT. He talked about Glasgow’s strength as a film location being its diversity of architecture. Let’s not lose that
Excellent stuff from The Bell. Glad to have curious and invested journalists working hard in and for the city - a rarity these days, and worth treasuring.
There should be asbestos awareness training in schools, that stuff is everywhere
At the risk of stating the obvious, folk need to keep away from the fumes
I’m assuming we don’t yet know if there’s asbestos or other nasties in that building
