40 Senate Democrats voted for Sen. Sanders’ bill to block arms sales to Israel, a 50% increase in Democratic support from the last Senate vote.
But in yet another act of failed leadership, Schumer voted against the bill — along with Blumenthal, Coons, Cortez Masto, Fetterman, Gillibrand, and Rosen.
I cannot yet commit to loving the new album coming in July, but I do find Madonna’s new logo immensely pleasing.
The effective federal corporate income tax rate:
1950: 50%
1990: 25%
2020: 13%
Stop asking "but how we will pay for it?" Restore the corporate tax rate.
That is how we will pay for it.
Hi Israel, aren't you getting tired of being the villain?
You know, you really could stop doing indefensible BS like this and we'd all be better off.
Contrary to public perception a huge % of pregnant teenagers in the 1990s were impregnated by adult men. The younger they were, the larger the average age gap between mother and father was. Fixing teen pregnancy was in part a clampdown on statutory rape. That's what conservatives want to reverse.
BTW the people who spent the last few years advocating for Palestine were clearly 100% right that normalizing war crimes and genocide there would just increase the likelihood of inhumane actions elsewhere. Just saying.
So pro-life means jailing women who miscarry but shrugging when the deranged president says “a whole civilization will die tonight.” Do I have that right?
Millions of American voters wanted to be villains. They came to believe it’s the key to success, while goodness is weak, woke, loser stuff, done only to signal.
Offered the option of unvarnished villainy, they enthusiastically took it. Seeing others suffer more made them feel big.
And here we are.
This is my dirty mirror and cum gutters Pride post, and what may or may not be an inadvertent #fcf
Tr*mp's limp dick swinging in Iran will cost more than $1 Trillion and we're supposed to pay for it by giving up healthcare or any form of helping Americans build a better lives. Republicans are budgeting for a military state and nothing else.
In this week's First 100 Days newsletter, we go DEEP on the mayor's obsession with filling potholes. Plus:
-"Tax the Rich" Mayor vs. "Responsible" City Council Speaker (With $22 Million Hamptons Mansion)

I loved the characters in this book - more interesting than the first 2 in the series. I did want more story than the 220 pgs and really thought it would be interesting if Ryan played for 1 more year and they experienced the ups and downs of trying to love through a year of planning his exit.
Bondi was subpoenaed and scheduled to be deposed April 14 on her handling [hiding evidence] in the Epstein case. Can someone in the know please tell me if her firing in any way releases her from testifying under oath about what she knows?
Their loss. Besides, who wants to date a slut-shamer? Don’t waste any time wondering about these idiots’ thought process.
Calling the National Trust for Historic Preservation a "radical Left group" is hilarious.
It’s undoubtedly reductive to frame American political decline around a single issue but I do think we would have been less likely to elect people who promise to burn it all down if we had basic necessities like healthcare provided by the government. I keep coming back to that
I've only listened to it once so far, but I'm already addicted.
everything in America sucks, but at least the full Robyn album finally dropped.
I am hooked on this show even though it hurts my heart to watch. Interesting that not a single episode takes place in an apartment building in a city -- further calling BS on the decades of questionable research about urban density inherently linked to anger and violence.
the criminal persecution of women seeking their former constitutional right to reproductive care is happening. we are living in a terrible, fascist era that won't end with the eventual implosion of the Tr*mp Admin.
???
"The Economy" is completely separated from average Americans' financial sustainability. "The Economy" is what people who hold wealth are concerned about, while the rest of us struggle to hold onto decent-paying jobs with benefits and afford to pay for a happy life.
This is so deeply upsetting. Is there no corner of cis-male American leadership that doesn't take advantage of their power to abuse girls? Ugh.
Good? But then I once woke up from a major accident in a CT scan with a neck brace on me and my first thought, considering I might be paralyzed, was “well, at least I can finally give up the gym”
