photo of user on porch swing with a paisley blue & green blanket. it is a rainy day, but nature is vibrant. she is reading and highlighting the book “when god was a woman” by merlin stone, and under it is “the salt eaters” by toni cade bambara.

this constant negativity is heavy. i was reading this weekend & got triggered by what i was reading. i had to disappear. we’re taking blows back to back with no release, no change, no resolution. we have to WORK at joy & positive reframes, and that’s heartbreaking.
i’m just gonna start saying “ew you’re racist” and letting folks melt down. call a thing a thing & let them deal with their own discomfort
i feel like white people online are “arguing” in bad faith & being antagonistic because they’re bypassing addressing racism for “class solidarity”. when we correct or ignore them, they feel inferior. they aren’t dealing well with oppression, so they’re making us feel small to feel big. its racism.
