McCoy Tyner's piano work on this track is the kind of thing I think of when I consider "why it's good to be alive"
There's so much awful out there, it's important to hold on to what's good.

Been on a big Nile kick recently. Their early albums really are all-timers.

One of Sheffield's best DIY, inclusive music venues is under threat because of a bureaucratic shambles by the government and local council. Help them out if you can!

Recent painting WIPs of some Space Marine Terminators.
I'm so happy the new Neurosis album exists, and is as good as it is. Sounds like a band with unfinished business.
My maybe not so hot take on Integrity is that they are a fantastic band who have never managed to record an album that fully captures how good they are.

The wealthy have class solidarity and we'll only beat them when we have it too
Tell me your great three album runs.

If you think the quartered scheme looks difficult to do: it kinda is, but it's also very rewarding and surprisingly fun.

3 Warhammer 40K Space Marines Intercessors, part-painted in a quartered red and blue scheme.

#hobbystreak day 191: got a lot done today. Finished painting 5 Heresy Terminators; started basing them; and got a solid start on 3 of the ebay rescue Intercessors. #Nerdlings
That aside, I agree with the broad argument OP is making.
Counterpoint: Ghost in the Shell.
There's a small jazz festival happening in March within walking distance of where I live, and I feel like it will either be the greatest weekend of live music I've had in forever; or make me question why I like music in the first place.
Yeah, it's pretty sad :(

Kinda glad it's not just me who remembered that.
