Today is #WorldAutismAwarenessDay, a reminder to listen, understand and create spaces where every voice matters. I'm so proud of my son, diagnosed with apraxia of speech & non-verbal autism at an early age, for all his triumphs—including inspiring our upcoming comic book series HEARD.

Matt & I have been fortunate to place six times in the Nicholl Fellowship, reaching the top 50 SFs, which led to meetings and option deals. It's an amazing resource. I don't know how this news will affect it in the long run, but I do worry when limiting factors are put on the submission process.
