Thoughts on cuddling?

In the other game ranking, I put Myst at my best retro game, though there are a lot of options for that tbh.

There are quite a many game that ask for that! Out of all things, Elden Ring actually requires that if you wanna follow quests and keep up with everything - it's just rare nowadays

A cartoon drawing of the rear of a green-and-woodgrain AMC Eagle, mid-jump above a rural road in a coniferous forest, driven by an anthropomorphic wolf. Stickers on the back read "My kids have 4 paws," "My parents have 4 paws," and "Werewolf Driver- Please Be Patient"

To be fair, the entire genre of puzzle game is "unforgiving for casuals".

If people want casual puzzles, they play Resident Evil, or Tomb Raider, or Nintendo games! The whole point of a puzzle game is that it's challenging - at some point you hit a wall, and it becomes a puzzle!

Wait what? That wasn't my experience whatsoever.

What are you memeing about here?

Every day is always progress. Things might get harder, but they can get easier too, even if we can’t control how fast or slow the change happens.

The most important step is always the next one.

I’m proud of you buddy, happy birthday <3

It’s one of my favorite games because it always generates CRAZY stories, but it’s also exceptionally playgroup dependant.

Everyone has to want to:
Sometimes fight
Be ok with making due with “bad hands”
And not get too married to plans.

Plus, gamestate changes so quickly that AP can become rough

The “problem” with the game is that it rewards highly aggressive and tactical gameplay, AND the balancing factor is the other players. At 3 player, it’s too easy for 2 people to beef and the third runs away with the game due to an upset, but the game falls apart if 1-2 players *only* play passive.

3 is probably the worst player count, though I don’t think it’s by too much? - 2 is a more strategic game due to there being less of a gap between player actions and board state changes.

I’ve *only* played 4 player and holy heck is it nail biting.

My overhated game of all time is The Witness, though - there is definitely a part of it that deserves ire, and Jonathan Blow kinda sucks, but I’ve never really understood so many people never touching it, especially when it’s gameplay makes a fascinating point aboht perspective, and it’s so pretty

YESSSSS. Obra Dinn is one of my favorite games of all time. Absolutely gorgeous and evocative.

Part of my issue with the other one was that I had too many games that were quite meaningful to me, but I couldn’t include them and wanted to.

Speaking of which, FUCK I FORGOT SUPERLIMINAL ;;

They just started a kickstarter for an expansion to the game, and one of the things that they are adding is a 5th player, but they are sorta adding an interesting mechanical change that I am veeeeery interested in trying with people - it looks good, and adds a little more agency to everyone.

It is a very divisive game kinda. The playgroup and your inclination as players makes it very difficult.

That, and depending on the player count, it is less and less of a strategy game than you'd expect, which leads to mismatched expectations.

What a lovely pupcake!

All it’s missing is a big, powerful candle placed right in the center :3

Also looking at your list and I TOTALLY forgot about Sekiro omg.

Silksong took that same spot but gosh Sekiro definitely is competitive with it haha

LMAO

I gave up after like 30 minutes of complaining about blizzard/epic games and saying they were overrated on stream, and then just made a tipsters and talked about why each of my selections felt good :3

Still made a list of 25 games at least >.>

With our imperfect selves, patience is vastly underrated.

One of the most powerful things I can do is tell myself, “No biggie, I can just keep trying.”

A sparrow-like creature pokes its head out of what appears to be a large birdhouse. It's circled by tall, slender cypress trees, and is in the middle of a mediterranean garden.
