Didn't feel like that at all to me, if anything it really felt like the the writers hated fritz. The movie was initially even supposed to end with fritz dying, but with some pushing the writer changed it.

I loved the political commentary and think it has a lot to say but it's pretty obvious the director is inexperienced, the constant need to try to be as obscene as possible also holds it back too.
