It's true, we won't. But we get our kicks from never having our carry-on taken aside for additional checks, the 30 second trolley dash through Pret, and successfully navigating Smith's to find the sole copy of the New Yorker in the ever-diminishing mags section. We're playing different games.
Very much Team LTTA. Team ETTA will never know the satisfaction of gliding through security, looking to the first departure board after duty free and having your gate flash up within seconds.
God no, I've got standards. If, however, you see something on mine that sounds suspiciously familiar - no you did not. 😁
Quite right. (Even as I occasionally quietly reword their superior insights.)
Even live blogging it myself for TNT? 😉
I wouldn’t read a book a person didn’t write because not only would it be agonizingly horrible to read, but also because reading is a human connection. The book speaks to me of the mind behind its creation. A person has chosen to communicate with me. That’s what reading is about, AI can’t do it.
Hey Codis mod. Great content, but could you please add alt text when posting images? It allows visually impaired people using screen readers to follow along. Merci 🙏
I wrote a novel using AI. Writers must accept artificial intelligence -but we are as valuable as ever| Stephen Marche The Guardian The, GuardianOpinions
You wrote a novel using AI? Cool. It's like that time I ran a marathon using a Ford Focus.
It's so disheartening to me that a writer would do this. If you don't want to write, don't be a writer! Seriously. There are many other options.
Have you tried Reddit? Drew out some strong interview subjects for an article on heart conditions by posting on r/cycling and r/velo a while back.
Just remembering how good Bowie was at losing his marker.
hey train perverts wanna see the shinkansen cloaca
Daily Mail front page main story - A.I. bot told teen to use a hammer to kill his mother Misogynistic son bludgeoned her to death following chilling online chat Daily Mail26 Mar 2026By James Tozer and Claire Duffin A TEENAGE boy with a hatred of women was advised how to kill his mother by an AI chatbot. The disturbing details behind the murder of teaching assistant Angela Shellis came as her son Tristan Roberts, 18, was jailed for life yesterday for bludgeoning her to death with a hammer.
Puberty blockers killed no-one and the UK rushed through emergency legislation because of the 'danger'.
Yet, somehow, neither the AI nor the misogyny here constitutes an 'emergency'

This is from an article by Jimi Famurewa who is from London. I don't think he's mocking them.
Every cycling journalist's worst interviewee is Mark Cavendish. For most of those he's also their best, and they can even be the same encounter. (He hated my iniital line of questioning only to later give my knee an apologetic squeeze.)
what do you mean there are no new ideas in hollywood. check out my script 2 Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
i bet this shit sounds magical if you're fucking stupid
Saying 'bombing schools is wrong' should be the easiest thing to say in the world.
Most people also won’t finish your 500-word article. So write at whatever length is appropriate for the subject.
Know when to... ride away, in my case.
Whereas I didn't succeed when I tried the same one for an article about the Brompton World Championships. (They went with Back in the Fold.)
If the rumours are true and the kids and social media consultation opens today, here are two things I think should be banned from
social media:
1) AI bots
2) recommendations algorithms that optimise for time on site
Firm regulation of both of these things is possible and auditable
A circular infographic chart categorizing cheeses by type of milk and texture. At the center, four sections are labeled cow, sheep, goat, and buffalo, radiating outward into concentric rings for textures: soft, semi-soft, semi-hard, and hard. Each cheese name is placed within its corresponding segment, with illustrated wedges of cheese circling the outer edge. Cow’s milk occupies the largest portion, featuring well-known varieties like Brie, Camembert, Taleggio, Havarti, Gouda, Cheddar, and Parmesan. Sheep’s milk includes cheeses such as Roquefort, Manchego, and Pecorino Romano. Goat’s milk features options like Chèvre, Crottin de Chavignol, and Humboldt Fog. Buffalo is represented by Mozzarella di Bufala Campana and Buffalo Blue. The cheeses are organized visually so that softer varieties appear closer to the center and harder ones toward the edge. Small colored drawings show each cheese’s texture, rind, and tone, from creamy whites and soft rounds to golden blocks, crumbly wedges, and blue-veined interiors. The background is a deep charcoal gray, making the warm oranges, yellows, and creams of the cheeses stand out clearly.

It's a grift, and it's effectively memetic asbestos.
Don't use it, mock those who do.
In particular, I'm harmed by this because people who lean on AI will suck at playing my games.
