Tori Amos "Scarlet's Walk" 2002
A concept album, which she describes as a "sonic novel about a road trip", detailing the cross-country journey of Scarlet, who is loosely based on Amos. The album was inspired by the changes in US society & politics, post 9/11.
I love this album. My fave Tori album of all time. Seeing her do these tunes several times with Jon and Matt were fantastic.
Another one of my all time favorites. I usually list to this and Low Spark ohhb together back to back.
Excellent album. Looking forward to delivery of the new one via post.

Kate Bush was 15-17 when she recorded her debut LP (with the help of David Gilmour), The Kick Inside. The first album I heard from her. It really impressed me. Remarkably mature. All tracks written by her. Moving, Them Heavy People are highlights. But the timeless classic here is Wuthering Heights.
Had to special order this album from local record shop immediately after seeing her on Saturday Night Live (1978 I think). Took weeks to get it. Still love it and listen to it often. My original copy has the other cover art but I also have an Australian version with this cover. Good stuff.
