I’ve officially been unemployed for a full month now - prospects aren’t awesome but I’m staying positive by reading and watching any and all horror I can get my eyes on. Any recs for some underrated gems from last year? Books and movies welcome. #horror oh yeah, fuck ICE.

This was my first book of 2026 and man, way to start things off with a bang. Absolutely loved this book and immediately bought two more of his titles.

They can try to “silence” trans people/trans love but they’ll fail every time. Why not just call it what it is - intimidating community of beaultiful people because they’re different. I started with Memorials and loved it so naturally I moved onto Chasing the Boogeyman. Then immediately picked up Becoming the Boogeyman. These have quickly become two of my favorite novels - the pacing, the format, the characters, @richardchizmar.bsky.social nailed it. Really hope there’s a third…?
