Unbelievably, Keir Starmer can now be compared to Boris Johnson The Prime Minister was once a man with a reputation for integrity and decency

It is preposterous and honestly rather shameful for Starmer to act so upset over the Mandelson affair. He is basically attacking Robbins for doing precisely what he wanted him to do inews.co.uk/opinion/unbe...

Almost everything we argue about is a substitute for the thing we should be arguing about: the immense wealth & power of an oligarchic class, which captures governments, ruins lives and wrecks the living planet.
This class redirects our rage at scapegoats. To resist its lies is to resist its power.

Tragically yes.

Clearing the decks from Reform to take over!

Labour, far from supporting the NHS is destroying it. Not announcing the changes honestly but behind our backs and apparently behind the backs of the MSM who aren’t reporting it. Private healthcare is winning, we are being blindsided.

This.

In fact, Ive never seen a community so unfairly treated by the state and abused for so long behave so civil and constructive as #pwME...

They know we cannot get out of bed because otherwise...

And so it goes on for #ME patients. We aren’t even called patients by many HCPs they call us malingerers, wrong thinkers and the latest ‘acquired neurodiversity.’ This testimony and plea from 2018, it could have been 1987 or 2026 because nothing changes. We just get older as we rot in our beds.

I’ve been waiting for 33 years for any treatment for #ME, unable to work, leave the house, see people. The Delivery plan for ME has been shelved. There are many thousands of us in a similar position and when we are strong enough to be, we are very, very angry.

1) Re-reading some ME/CFS history: in the late 1990s the CDC diverted millions of dollars budgeted for
ME/CFS into work on other diseases.

The CDC presented misleading data to Congress, a whistleblower was needed to uncover the misuse of funds.

The Royal College of Psychiatrists Annual Conference. This terrible trio are speaking on #LongCovid. We are absolutely nowhere! They will spread their disinformation to hundreds of psychiatrists all of whom will most probably nod and smile. A psychiatrist friend is going. She’ll try to subvert.

@rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social

For every five women living with #ME there is only one man. No ME specialists in the UK, no training in medical schools. The lifetime prevalence of ME/CFS for English females may be as high as 0.92%
This is misogyny, it’s been going on for decades.

Screenshot is of a Financial Times headline that reads: senior NHS officials warned over criticising rollout of Palantir platform. Subheading reads: ethical objections and uneven adoption have made the tech group’s contract a divisive issue within English health service.

Disturbing. NHS staff should be able to freely raise concerns about the entrenchment of this utterly unethical spy-tech firm in our healthcare system.

The largest municipal healthcare network in the US has dropped Palantir after significant protests.

We must do the same, before it's too late.

Orban defeated: Good morning and goddamn it's a beautiful day All of a sudden, after months of total darkness, there is hope.

Orban’s defeat shows that when we stand together against the politics of hate and division, hope wins and the far right friends of Farage can be defeated.

“This is not a psychological disease” people did not alter their blood molecules just to “spook the psychiatrists”.
Prof Chris Ponting.
Thank you for keeping hope alive for so many of us who have been continually knocked back into hopelessness. I’m 33 years in bed with ME, my daughter even longer.

Thank you for continually keeping hope alive when, so often, there is none.

I think that more research money (!) should be directed towards Chris Ponting’s group to get finer detail.

New research: first comprehensive estimate of the economic burden of long Covid across EU and OECD countries.

Long Covid is projected to cost OECD economies up to $135bn a year and the damage is expected to last at least a decade.

Netanyahu is bombing Lebanon because his political career (and therefore avoidance of prosecution) depends on constant war. How many more people must die for the sake of one man's standing?

These trails now a familiar sight here in Gloucestershire, marking the paths of American bombers heading south-east to avoid European airspace, before turning east and heading for Iran. To the south-east there are other trails marking the movement of other similar aircraft.
Shame on Starmer.

Coupled with the shameful cuts in foreign aid this is catastrophic. Governments, nearly all of them, completely refuse to listen to research and common sense and act as though they understand that we are one world made up of human beings who need to eat to survive. This is avoidable.

Trump just openly stating his intention to commit genocide at this point: "A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again."
It’s chilling the words of a psychopath and no one stops him.

Chris Ponting @cgatist.bsky.social
and Binita Kane
@binitakane.bsky.social
are obvious examples of people who are excellent on media broadcasts and in print. Would Amal Rajan and the MSM interview them with a counter argument to Suzanne O’Sullivan’s book. One that validates #ME and #LongCovid?
