I run Plex and file storage. I don't run VMs. I've not had any trouble with Plex 🙂
I also haven't added the SSD cache yet - it's on my list, but I've not felt a pressing need yet.
Drives are 4x4GB Western Digital Red

I replaced my aging 418 with a 923+ this year and it's been great. It wasn't terribly cheap, but having only fairly recently upgraded the disks I could simply move them to the new chassis.
I spend enough time on IT at work - home stuff needs to be straightforward 🙂

But there are far fewer RDs than MVPs. A few hundred, if memory serves.

Heading home after another fantastic #Techorama in Utrecht.
Incredibly well organised as always. Had some great conversations with an excellent audience and spent time with lovely fellow speakers.
Now present me was up at five am and regretting past me's life choices 😆😢

The organisers of #Techorama always do cool stuff, but this is fantastic!

A heat wave in Yorkshire in October is a bad thing.
Many orgs have the heating come on in October because it's normally parky outside.
Today I'm in an airport. The heating is on. The Aircon is not. I'm slowly melting!

This week is Techorama in Utrecht. That means quiet Rik tries to post more.
