I have met several people who “hated history” in school yet later in life, once they discovered podcasts and well-written history books, grew to love it.
They never actually hated history; they just hated that it was taught as a list of battle dates.
My hot take of the day: majors were a mistake. We should expect everyone to get a rounded education. Mostly distribution, with a few electives
