Another great event on 4/25:

A great way to support small vendors, crafters, and businesses on 4/25 in Camarillo.
We live in dangerous times.
California Lutheran University just got a TPUSA chapter because they were forced to approve it because TPUSA disguised as “Club Liberty” just lied like the good Christofascists that they are.
So much to unpack in the email from Simi resident Rocky Rhodes who is running for Jacqui Irwin’s open seat in CA 42. Forget that being married to a Democrat is some sort of qualification in his mind, this bloke endorsed Kevin McNamee for a second term on TO City Council.
Hard no. Absolutely not.
The facts on the recent misinformation on the City of Malibu’s lawsuit regarding parks and trails.
Where to even begin? Supervisor is a non partisan role. Gorell has no love for Republican women. Wonder if his ex wife would agree. Or the child that walked away from him. But sure, love of Reagan and women are what we should look for in a candidate. 🙄 #TeamPerryman

If you’re in Idaho, join the movement to allow proven medical care without restriction.
Oh, we’re waiting for a similar situation here in Ventura County. Though ours will be a Democrat.
With the Conejo Valley Parade being cancelled, this may be the only time Wendy MacLeod is quiet. And we’re here for it.
Make no mistake, Georgia is going blue.
We posed a question yesterday that merits a post. Thousand Oaks has long been about lawyers, land and money. The parking spot situation has far more attention than meets the eye. It may finally end what we know as the ‘TO landowner mafia.’
Thank you. 💜
This thinly detailed story is worth revisiting. Have you considered why nobody is talking about it?

We’re back. Our respite was delightful.
Imagine a local government that refuses to surrender to unAmerican values. A place where people matter. A place that upholds our rights to be private citizens. Sounds like the kind of place we should all strive to be.
This week we experienced the underbelly of Ventura County. We’re going to take a few days to gain perspective. To move away from stories that burden us. That do not serve the common good. We’re going to practice our core value — stop expecting others to be better, we are going to be better.
Image of a ProPublica headline that reads "They Needed Treatment for Drug Addiction. The Company They Turned to May Have Used Them to Commit Fraud." The headline is illustrated with a pair of hands holding a miniature rehab center. One hand is dropping a small human through the top of the building. From the bottom of the building, a $100 bill emerges.
NEW: Kentucky’s largest drug rehab center touts a Christian message and a selfless commitment to helping others.
But internally, the organization prioritized money over the well-being of its clients and staff, interviews show.

Turning Point invested heavily in a pro-industry slate of candidates for the massive utility, and mostly lost.

The first gadfly of Oxnard was complaining again last night this time about a candidate fundraising. The candidate hosting a meet and greet that includes an (optional and nominal about $6 per person) cost, was her complaint. Oxnard is a different animal.
Sometimes we find a gem out in the wild.
Election/Primary days in June are going to be interesting.
Dale Thomas, fmr President of Westlake Republican Women wrote in support of Democrat Mark Perryman for VC Supervisor today. We’re gobsmacked. Her perspective is powerful — she knows the real Jeff Gorell having worked in his office.
Meanwhile we suspect Lori Mills burst into flames reading this.
This Sunday in Thousand Oaks, at Paige Lane Park. Kids can play while you join others. Meet new people. No catch.
Just bring a snack or just show up, and enjoy some food. Life can be simple.
What a time to be alive!
2026 is the year of adulters running for office in Ventura County. In one area, we know of four of candidates who cheated on their spouses. Then again, never bothered VC voters before…
Kevin McNamee did the same on TO City Council with tutoring centers in new buildings a few years back —nothing happened. Hell, current TO Mayor Mikey Taylor uses his mayor role on social media to get investors for his Ponzi scheme. However, it’s Ventura County so 🦗 🦗 🦗
