This week's short story is Knock On Wood. A story about staring out the front door peephole and madness.

This week's short story I found perfect and wonderful art. Dog Steps was originally published in Pulphouse. Dog is written in the spirit of the television show, The Littlest Hobo, and other literature classics featuring dogs. But, rest assured, it is NOT like Old Yeller.

A guy asking ChatGPT to review a series of fart sound effects and getting a serious kiss ass response that calls it atmospheric
I can't stop laughing at this post. It's perfect.
This week's short story is Blind Eclipse. Set during the Golden Age of Hollywood, in a movie theater in Minnesota. I drew inspiration from The Grand Theater (and it's history) in Crookston, the town I grew up in.

This week's short story is Lending The Truth. It's the flipside of Knowledge Blooms, which I published a few weeks ago. Pure fantasy about those little lending libraries, light and hopeful.
Lending The Truth has a little lending library, but this one is haunted.

This week's short story is The Sudden Room. This has big Twilight Zone feel, like Rod Serling might suddenly appear. A story about a room that suddenly appears in a home and the woman who must face the reality of what's behind that door. books2read.com/u/4jkkdD
I'm not the only one with a Kickstarter. (Thanks, Captain Obvious!) If you want something cozy after you've read my crazy, Thorn is a safe bet.
Holy wow! We did it. Another stretch reward reached and we still have 30 hours to go. Backers will now get another novel, THE MIND'S LIE, which is no longer in print anywhere. Onward! kck.st/4rTZyne
Knowledge Blooms, originally published in Pulphouse, and now uploaded to online stores. Link in the comments. This fantasy story is very short but fun, where little lending libraries sprout up around town in the middle of the night.

A cartoon from the 1950’s that’s more relevant than ever 💔
Best pic of the blood moon I could take with my phone this morning.

This week's short story release. Thriller with a touch of humor. books2read.com/u/mqdnv2
Thanks!
This week's short story uploaded. I really liked the art I found for this one. Had the right kind of weirdness I was looking for. A tale of alternate lives intersecting at a mortuary at the edge of the universe.

This is incredibly rare language from a federal judge:
"Observing human behavior confirms that for some among us, the perfidious lust for unbridled power and the imposition of cruelty in its quest know no bounds and are bereft of human decency."

"I don't know why they shot him. He was only helping. I was five feet from him and they just shot him."
THE SPY WHO MEH ME
Edinburgh, Sep 2024, we came across the gallows being prepped for filming for Frankenstein. Security guard dropped a hint about what movie it was for. Our friend Graham took the picture of me with the gallows in the background.
You never know what you might find during a walking tour of Edinburgh.

Even if you support massive deportation operations, under no circumstances should ANYONE be ok with US citizens being forcibly removed from their homes and detained without explanation.
This is a clear violation of their constitutional rights and should universally condemned.
Presidents? SCOTUS gives them immunity.
Corporations? SCOTUS makes it easier for them to pollute.
Billionaires? SCOTUS says they can buy elections.
But if you look Latino, speak Spanish, or work at a low wage job, SCOTUS says you can be abducted by masked agents.
