So much fun. My kid got me Strange Antiquities and I've played it to multiple finishes and all the achievements. I may need to go back and finish the extras with Strange Horticulture.

One of the button using cats, Elsie, recently “talked” about having a sad or yucky dream. I think her owner is considering a new button for the word.

In the very early 80’s our elementary did a field trip to Centralia, the PA town with the massive underground coal fire. You could see and smell the smoke. I bought a little coal cocker spaniel figurine as a souvenir.

Vertigo is back as a hormonal change symptom. I had errands planned for the day, but putting my hair up had me reeling round the kitchen like a cartoon figure on ice skates. So, driving is on hold, as are all tasks that require bending down. Stupid perimenopause.

Legit. Stuff coming off runways this year have struck me as very conservative in their lines and silhouettes. I don't want to say capital C conservative, cause I can't prove anything, and the fabrics, details etc are beautiful. But that's my overall impression after 5+ lines.

Last two years I've put the spatchcocked turkey on the grill. Smoked it for a couple hours and then cranked up the heat to crisp it up and finish it. So good.

I have been there! Make sure they check B12 & D as well since they go hand in hand. I’ve struggled most of my life, especially after my two kids. It’s even worse now w/ perimenopause. Had iron infusion 13, then surgery in Nov. If that doesn’t hold, I’ll need hysterectomy. Reach out if you have ?’s

Was her blanket on the pilot checklist? No? Then it’s not the pilot’s responsibility!

Should have left them to take that commercial flight home themselves.

That's so frustrating, and you've got plenty going on already and don't need that. Glad you could pivot and you'll have great time.

And here I was excited to realize I could fit a dozen folded zines in my jean's pocket the other day.

I just pulled the local map and it shows there are more Little Free Libraries than I knew of! I’ll take advantage of that. Regular library is one of the places I’ve been. 👍 Thanks for the recommendations!

I'm in Central FL and have started leaving stacks of the FL Edition of the zine in public places. Any recs for where they do the most good? I'm concerned the ones I'm leaving at convenience stores and such may be getting thrown out. Haven't upgraded to whistles, but have the ability to print.

My spouse uses a CPAP and has needed multiple surgeries even with the machine. He's had the UP3 (uvula, palate & tonsils), repaired a deviated septum and eventually had sinus ablation. He still needs a CPAP, but he's compliant now and gets sleep and oxygen. Get the surgery if you need to, it helps.

We all had a great time! Your character creation and story setting at the end yesterday set such a tone! The brain is buzzing with ideas. I think yesterday was needed by everyone to flesh out this world a bit more and solidify where we want to go with our characters.

And yeah, very full weekend.❤️

Congrats! I’ve had a similar prep afternoon

-Leftover cornbread turned into dressing to freeze in 1 cup portions.
-Broke down 3 rotisserie chix I got for $1.99 each (meat + bones for stock)
-Veggies diced and frozen so they don’t spoil
-Bag of sweet potatoes baked before they spoil
-Soup!

You're welcome!! I've been tempted by Kerrygold and I'm sure it's great. But at that price point, I might save it for the cookies like shortbread that REALLY need good butter. Happy baking and may your cookies be delicious. 🎄🍪

I’m not sure what brands you have easy access to, but I stick to a couple specific brands now for cookies. Trader Joe’s has an excellent butter and good prices (I stock up there), Challenge and Cabot I’ll grab on sale for baking. Land O’ Lakes has been downgraded for use in regular cooking only.

This was a HUGE discussion last year in the cookie baking community. You are not the only one having big issues.

Bodies are dumb and unfair.

Not only will hair grow and require shaving over third degree burned (and grafted) skin, but you can still have a period while healing (and bleeding) from fibroid removal surgery and a series of post-op ruptured ovarian cysts. I’m so over this. Come on menopause!

I've recently started freezing portions of Chinese so I'm not eating same leftovers for days. I've got silicone cups, lay down a bed of rice, some stir fry, freeze and then pop out of the cups and store in freezer bags. Then I can heat up a portion when I want it. Works well so far.
