Fair enough. I slept on it and you’re right. I’d been reading other pieces about GM’s fight with the UAW despite recent record profits and the machinations that got them permission to test self-driving in SF in the first place and took my frustration out on your piece. My apologies.

I realize in the modern era, you're under pressure to get things up quickly, and I'm sorry for that. But there isn't a single named source in the story, and as a result it reads a bit like Cruise is doing a public service not desperate brand damage control.

David, your sources are not actual people. Unless I'm misinterpreting what I read, the only person you actually spoke with was the Cruise representative. Everything else was taken from police or other statements but was largely based on Cruise statements in press releases or social media.
