And yeah, I have a lot of upset with dog owners who don't properly care for their pets, which imo includes not letting them run outside unattended to.

(That event was when seated outdoors at Oscar & Otto, and I had only let go of the lead for a moment to untangle it -- of course that was the precise moment he saw a bird and lunged, nothing to stop him. I was so grateful there was no cars on the Strand at that moment!! I'm extra careful now!!!)

I'm so sorry. 😭😭😭

I always have my two on a lead. Kitty is getting a touch senile and doesn't listen the way she used to, & Chester has WAY too high of a prey drive and is bonkers fast and would be gone the second any living thing caught his eye, which I learnt when he BOLTED across a street nearly catching a finch 😱

to paraphrase a true poet of a friend:

being COVID-aware is not living in fear
it’s living in care

Yeah, that wouldn't work 😬

Potentially even savoury ones with lots of parm in them.

Yes

Oh yeah for sure. I can't imagine he has a lot of people thinking he's just charming company they can't wait to get around for the joy of it. I'm sure people want to be around him because they want to get things from him... But he doesn't seem to have more personality than a wet noodle tbh.

Yeah the whole market is so messed up and I hate it. 😭😭 Wealthy people destroyed it for everyone. As usual. As always.

Tbf, you probably have the wrong social circle to hear people saying such things. 😂

Oh, he said he'll try to give it a read--in the name of science! But expressed he's already very sceptical. 🤷🏼‍♀️ One can hope.

Google suggests average is about $70K a year, which means by these maths your basic affordable home today ought to be about $420,000. Which I think is certainly mountains better, but WHERE IS THIS MYTHICAL HOME?!?!?

It's so fucked here. 😭😭😭

3 hours ago 1 0 0 0

Okay, so then that drops the average NZ wage now to 150,000 -- which I'm SURE is still heaps more than whatever the actual average annual wage is.

3 hours ago 0 0 3 0

Yeah so let's say the average annual wage then was $6K a year, just being conservative on that. A home at 20K is 3 1/3 times the annual wage amount. If things were fair, we'd be looking at an average annual wage of $270,000 now--and idk what the average wage actually is but it's certainly not that.

Like a rehabilitation centre to get them to understand the reality of life these days. Or Mars. I'm not picky. 🤣

Can we just send all the conservative folks away. They keep holding back progress and it's killing everything, not hyperbole.

This government is imploding because Luxon has about as much political instinct as a dish sponge.

Yeah, I've been using it for pizza

I'd freaking love the Greens to be at the helm for this. They're definitely the best suited. If only Aotearoa agreed. 🥲

Such a wild take to say "Labour wants to take our coalition partner who is a racist!!!!" yet still be happy to be in coalition with them because it gives them power.... I just.... What the heck is this reality anyway.

Exactly that. 😵‍💫
