Republicans in Congress can end this any time

Another household kept alive by American aid was that of Jennifer Inyaa, a 35-year-old single mom, and her 5-year-old son, Evan Anzoo, both of them H.I.V.-positive. Last month, after the aid shutdown, Inyaa became sick and died, and a week later Evan died as well, according to David Iraa Simon, a community health worker who assisted them. Decisions by billionaires in Washington quickly cost the lives of a mother and her son. "Many more children will die in the coming weeks," said Margret Amjuma, a health worker who confirmed the deaths of Peter and Achol.
Take a moment today to read about a few of the young children whom Trump and Musk killed by shutting down USAID. The blame for these deaths falls on them.
There will be hundreds of thousands more dead kids before their lethal crusade against foreign aid ends. www.nytimes.com/interactive/...
Mark, your buddy Kevin O'Leary seems to think this is all a good idea. I would imagine quite a few in the ultra-rich class are okay with what's happening. Say something to them, please
Every single Democratic governor and attorney general needs to do this -- if only to make it clear to voters *right now* that the firings and funding freezes that are about to hurt their states badly are the work of Trump-Musk in Washington.
Get ahead of this now, or get blamed for it later.
I joined a protest outside the office of Senator Ron Johnson today

"Elon Musk is not the president, but it appears that he—a foreign-born, unelected billionaire who was not confirmed by Congress—is exercising profound influence over the federal government of the United States...It is nothing short of an administrative coup."

When I was a Hill staffer in 2009, a Dem trifecta was trying to pass universal healthcare. In response, Senate GOP released a memo detailing all of the tactics they in the minority could use to delay the effort as much as possible. I'm recirculating that 2009 GOP memo here. Take inspiration from it.
Yesterday I sat on a plane next to a woman who served in the air force and has been trying to get visas for 2 Afghanistan men. She complained about how slow the State Dept was under Biden and voted for Trump. She had/has a good heart but these people genuinely don't see Trump for who he is.
Hi there! I'm an artist on a quest to find a new home far, far away from Meta. My name's Carissa, and I run a little business called Plantroom Art—named after my studio, which is absolutely packed with plants (but it’s not a plant problem, I promise... maybe). #art
I'm massively disappointed they won't have the #NFLonNickelodeon broadcasting Super Bowl LIX this year 😞 It was something that brought a lot of us neurodivergents into the sport; why didn't they do it again this year?
So do you support a single payer system?
Post saying Modern politics is people making bad decisions and then getting mad at Democrats for not stopping them
Ouch. But he has a point.
Just to be clear: the incoming Trump administration is going to war against their own Republican senate majority and the constitution's advice and consent provision so they can make a man investigated for ***sex trafficking a minor*** into the most powerful law enforcement officer in the country.
I'm starting to think that everyone else finally discovered how great #TSAPreCheck is, all at once. The PreCheck line is now almost as long as the regular line.
It's ironic that for all of Congress' fear mongering over China, the US government is now poised to create their own version of "The Great Firewall of China," controlling the flow of information by dictating which apps are blessed by the State, and which are banned. Ban lobbyists, not TikTok!
Why hasn't anyone made a service that lets you search for a movie and it tells you exactly which streaming services it's available on? Or why hasn't IMDB partnered with the streaming companies to provide this info?
