I've slowly building a library of videos over on YouTube.
Nearly finished all of the ones I prepared for this year's TRD
I hope you enjoy them

Trying to push myself a little and do some voice work.

Once again I'll be making noises with my throat for Tolkien Reading Day.
Hope as many of you all as possible can join.

I'm back
Again.
I've seen so many posts in recent days of people being really excited by Elijah Wood returning as Frodo for The Hunt to Gollum.
My issue isn't why is he there, but why do we need to hang into these Actors. The films are 25 years ago.
Use some new actors who can make a new version of the character.
I've been really quiet here for a long time.
And I'm sorry for that. Life has just been distracting me away, but it's all good things.
Hope everyone is doing well over here.
When the sun hits the building just right and the fiery red of the Parthenocissus
This is tomorrow.
Are we giving Cat 'Smog' a free pass?
Happy birthday to Bilbo and Frodo!
How will you be celebrating their birthday?
I've been reading this for 28 years since I was 8.
It still influenced me and guides me.
The Coventry (UK) Smial will begin their epic read through and discussion of The Lord of the Rings on the 4th of October.
Would love to go rhere
I wish.
It's too expensive to fly there for me and I'm all out of time off from work ๐ญ
I'll be online for it though.
The Radcliffe Camera as seen from High Street, silhouetted against a rainy grey sky. Pedestrians with umbrellas in the foreground.
Clarendon Quad with the Old Bodleian to the left, the Clarendon Building to the right and the Sheldonian Theatre in the centre. Pedestrians hurry past in waterproofs with umbrellas held aloft. The pavements are slick with rain and the skies above are a murky grey.
Catte Street in the rain with three friends silhouetted against the Old Bodleian.

'Woke up this morning with
a terrific urge to lie in bed all day
and read. Fought against it for a minute.
Then looked out the window at the rain.
And gave over. Put myself entirely
in the keep of this rainy morning'
excerpt from Rain, by Raymond Carver.
On 15 September 1977: J.R.R. #Tolkien's The Silmarillion was published. Edited by Christopher Tolkien, the book details the entire history of the world before The Hobbit, and goes into the legends that underpin the entire mythology including the creation of the world. #BookSky
I didn't know this was a thing.

So, THIS IS AN AD, even if UNPAID ๐คฉ
I wrote the script on this one and @indeepgeek.bsky.social did the editing - so you can have an infotaining look at ORTHANC.

You are a legend!
And now I'm really intrigued
I've got all those ๐
It's one of my favorite stories and I think the film did an amazing job of adapting it.
The anime style suited it really well and other than a few story choices I didn't like it was excellent
Why?
I've got to improve my blue sky feed.
Anyone got one of those packs of Tolkien accounts to follow things?
I'm sorry I never got to speak with you properly but hope you'll be back.
Happy Birthday to the brilliant Martin Freeman!
Perfectly cast as Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit trilogy, the actor turns 54 today!
Mines off now too for similar reasons.
Need to work out where I'm going to put it on my Tolkien shelves
It was lovely to meet you!
I hope you had a lovely time, and I hope you can come back again
You were missed my friend.
But I'm very glad you've had a great birthday
Me! Me!
