Most of the techniques I'm using to build my critters could be implemented in any game engine; the harder part is getting performance to be reasonable, and Unity is specifically well-suited for that, although I try to keep an eye on Bevy because I suspect it would have similar advantages

I LOVE THIS! THANK YOU!!! ๐๐๐
Quick pencil sketch fanart of a little like the ones found in OP. Long spiral shell, two beady little stalkless eyes set wide apart with a much bigger third eye in the forehead, and one of those derpy abstract pouty kissy face anime mouths.
omg (ใฃโใฎโฯ)
anyway this might not be 100% faithful to the actual mouthpart configuration but the instant i saw it i knew i had to draw it:
Just for fun, recorded a video travelling along one of the rivers from source to delta. Had to speed it up quite a lot, otherwise it was too long ๐

Meep Engine is actually the name of the game studio making it! But this confusion has happened a lot, so a name change is in the works. The game engine for Biolune is Unity
I am proud of these snails and the civilization they have built for themselves
As always, I'm delighted when the Bizarre Alien Generator randomly spits out: a lizard
Snailer Moon
I have a very simple, early system controlling eyelids that normally keeps them blinking all together (because they blink at the same rate), but an eye will close if something gets close to it, which looks very alive/real but also makes that eye go out of sync with the others. So: both!
Thank you! ๐
The feeling of being woken up from a nap and having no idea where you are or what's going on
Someone assembled this rat wrong
Curious and menacing
Deermouse hivemind
What's that walking by in the background? Oh, just something normal
Release is still a ways away, but I'm aiming to start testing with a few users this summer. The very quiet secret Discord channel will be the first place to get pinged when user testing opens: discord.gg/rhX75a5B
Thank you! ๐
Spikes!!!
Two-headed snail beast (also it's giant)
Big-headed dog
This wyrm is grateful that it, at least, does not have an arm for a head
Not a good face, eyes-wise
Brief, silent howl at the sun
A Good Dragon
Alien Trailcam

Soothing colors, unsettling shape
A beast that moves by launching itself through the air and rolling when it hits the ground
This is the offspring of a slightly less interesting deer
