My workout buddy George and I finished the Summit Y mini-triathlon this morning! It was a 10 min swim, 30 min bike, and 20 min run. And it was a lot more fun than I expected!

3) VOTE. Vote in every election, every year. Robust primaries are good. In #NJ7, some will be disappointed when their first choice candidate doesn’t win. Remember voting isn’t like finding a soul-mate. It’s like choosing between sitting next to one of two people on a bus. The choice will be clear.

2) Attend your local Council, School Board, and County government meetings. What are they doing to protect your neighbors? What are they doing about budget shortfalls from lack of federal funding? Ask local elected officials where they stand on national issues! It’s about accountability.

1) Talk to family, friends, and neighbors. Millions attended rallies this weekend around the country. Millions more are angry, disappointed, or scared to speak out. It’s our job to speak to those in our circles and keep this movement growing.

You know what’s also a local issue: VOTING! Ask your local elected officials whether they agree with the hypocrite in the Oval Office on this.

I think local elected officials who support this president need to be asked what they think about this. You can’t have reasonable policy disagreements or work across the aisle with people who believe you’re the enemy.

This is important and it’s about accountability, not mean, rude, or divisive.

This weekend the President of the United States celebrated the death of a dedicated public servant and said the Democratic Party is the enemy of America.
