The best stories can come from owning something deeply risky. Automotive roulette. As long as it's cheap you have little to lose, other than punctually...
There were also session beers down to 2.5%, which was a lunchtime drink. A lot of work didn't involve reaction time, things were simpler, as a gross overstatement.
Great to catch up mate, it's a great show!
Seems logical.
Yes.
One assumes that they enjoy their car, and express themselves through it. Which generally speaking I approve of, even if it is not to my taste.
Haynes holds a special place for me, my first car back in '86 was 'spares or repair', the engine in bits, I was 17 with no money. So I bought a Haynes manual and read how to build an engine.
I’m on stage at the John Haynes Classic, hope to see you there

This Sunday I'll be at the remarkable Kimbolton Fayre, over a thousand classic and performance cars, craft stalls, food and entertainment. And all for charity. Who's going?

Well that's a plus then.
Extreme politics always leads to division, hatred, fear and violence
A repeating pattern through history
It never ends, with power an ideology divides more, supporters gradually fall victim to it's insatiable need to divide, expel, punish and humiliate anyone seen as 'other'
I think this year is broken.
Some sort of map may help, I think.

Do I need to come up and show you?
The usual, take it apart, clean it and put it back together.
The sky is fascinating. If you know a bit of science the world talks to you. Look up and see all the different zones, cloud forms dependent on pressure, humidity temperature etc. It's a busy sky, the way vapour trails disappear, linger or spread tells you about the conditions in that bit of the sky.
There's definitely some distinguished noses in the shop today.
What was it called on the original Beetle?
Things in my pocket on an average day. What tools do you like to have with you?
Predictions are always perilous. But I think we're in for a long, hot, dry summer. Maybe a real bad one. And if that happens it's going to get more people thinking about the environment, and what we're doing to it. And that means attitudes to cars etc. may change. Are we ready?
Want to know how to change brake discs and calipers? How to change the oil and other car maintenance tasks? Or maybe you know someone else who would benefit from our practical, hands on training? Our next BCM2 course is 26th April, pass it on.

The stuff I see on various platforms about the science and engineering I'm directly involved with just makes me angry.
So what must it be like for other people making great discoveries who see their work ridiculed, misreported, distorted or dismissed?
Truth is under attack, these are dangerous times
The lies being spread today will infect thoughts and actions for generations.
Historically it's been difficult to spread lies to all of us so quickly, but social media does just that.
And whilst real journalists work hard to verify and give context, they too are being attacked.
Our fantastic Practical Skills training can be found here, from beginners to experts we can help you, we're happy to share the skills we use daily building amazing vehicles:

I love just going out for a drive, no particular destination, just exploring. Get to a junction, shall we go left or right? It's hugely enjoyable.
Anyone else do this?
Those who agree with you may be wrong.
Those who disagree with you may be right.
Repeating someone else's narrative in an argument adds nothing.
Independent thought doesn't come from reposting without comment.
I like the fact that my friends here have different views to me, it helps me learn.
I strongly believe that practical skills are vital. Not just for jobs & independence, but to broaden our understanding. The more we truly understand how the world works the more informed our life choices.
So you see, skills matter.
And that's why I set up
