Have a special Easter. This is the church at our marae.
Kai Tahu faced so much racist nonsense, racist attack (arson), and major obstruction (ie no NZ bank would let them open an account). I encourage everyone to watch The Negotiators (about Iwi Settlements) put together by the incredible @moanatribe.bsky.social

Words fail
…like it’s an endangered language.
Indeed. Hard to find words nowadays…
Feeling nervously excited about pulling together 16 artists to take to the Akld Townhall stage on Sun Mar 8. It’s been a while so pulling out all the stops. ‘Bigger than a breadbox’ as my mum would say. Shout out to Auckland Arts Festival & Te Taura Whiri. #manawahine #toitutereo
Gee, thank you. I felt like I rambled so couldn’t bring myself to listen!
Thank you so much!
PS I’m kinda nervous tbh. But very excited. This came in the mail today so thought I’d let you know. Please spread the word 🙏🏽 5/

Having flashbacks to that time many Indigenous Australians simply wanted a Voice in their own land. And that was too much for the fearful & entitled. Good to see familiar faces back in.
The Crown wants to review the Waitangi Tribunal, a body set up by the Crown to investigate breaches of the treaty by the Crown to make non-binding recommendations to the Crown that the Crown can (and mainly does) legally ignore. Why is it being described as ‘activist?’
That is very interesting
I was thinking of you! I’m trying to do one for the Regulatory standards bill. Deadline tomorrow.
I mean I don’t know how useful it is doing submissions (just done my first ever two) but on the upside it (1) I’ve learnt a new skill (2) it really gets me across the issue (3) helps me figure out what bugs me most about said issue (4) & feels like I’m part of a groovy new club. Morning clubgoers!
And the Regulatory Standards bill completely fails to walk its own talk in terms of transparency with all its redacted bits.
Happy new year. Let’s go!
Happy new year. Let’s go!
Thank you! Appreciated.
😂 Am not a sporty spice like you!
It was so very good
Um. Pretty confident the effects would be bad & that’s without any kind of science degree…like those of Chief Scientists whose job it was to advise government.
That’s very Māori heavy that section…
