Alex Karp, Peter Thiel, & that entire circle are sick people. Like, truly ill. They've clearly never worked on themselves at all. Surface insecurity masquerading as intellectual depth. Every single aspect of their worldview is transparently, vilely inhuman and ahistorical.
My use of free will today is to drink my morning smoothie out of a wine glass. ...Mainly because it actually holds more than a pint glass 😳
I love being an adult! ...By which I mean, I love having a pint of ice cream intermingled with spoonfuls of peanut butter as my dinner.
My heating bill for last month is 3 times as much as usual for winter, thanks to Republican policies and corporate gouging on top of it. $630 for March heat (steam powered by gas) for an apartment in Philly. The revolution is coming.
Finally got sick & tired enough of Windows' bullshit to try Linux (Mint/Cinnamon) on an older laptop and it was incredibly seamless. Everything just Worked, even better than things do on a brand new Windows machine. Not going back, and will gradually be Linux-ing the rest of my computers.
We are the baddies.

Happy logical first day of the Northern Hemisphere New Year!
Next Roadtrip day is up! It's a short one as I did a lot of driving that day in 2023. anothermiddle.com/roadtrip-day...
Sitting on the train (Amtrak to NYC) and it's as smooth and wonderful as ever... Except for the fact that someone near me keeps letting off some of the most rank farts I've smelled in a while. I wish there were noise canceling headphones for the nose.
The global economy is about to crash worse than 1929. Make decisions accordingly.
It's mindblowing to me that there are people who keep AC units going all winter, right above a radiator, just because they don't want to take the unit out and reinstall it each season. Laziness? Ignorance? Climate change.
Chuck Tingle is a genius of our time! :D
Yes, but even bigger than that.
The evidence positions the Epstein operation as the product of a gradual confluence of *several* foreign intelligence services—and moreover establishes that there was an adjacent and at times interconnected Trump operation as well.
This scandal will only get larger.
Fascinating, and important! Light pollution is a particular topic that I'm partial to, not just general nighttime light pollution, but blue light proliferation in particular (e.g. full-spectrum LED streetlights) that disrupt circadian rhythms for people and animals.

Like any bully, Trump is fundamentally a coward.
When he feels humiliated, he lashes out.
Every authoritarian action he is taking must be understood against the backdrop of his declining popularity.
He feigns strength, but he's operating from a place of weakness.
Article excerpt: In my few days in Minnesota, I’ve been witness to countless scenes that remind me of moments I’ve seen during previous trips covering conflicts around the world. I watched heavily armored federal units roll through quiet neighborhoods. In a grocery store parking lot, angry residents screamed at agents, demanding they leave the city. Masked and armed government agents pointed weapons toward me and some protesters during an encounter in the middle of the afternoon. Curious guests in a hotel elevator wondered why I was carrying around a medical pack and gas mask. Local residents thanked me for being there to witness the situation. A drunk man at a hotel bar cursed at me, saying the media was at fault. The wars we’ve carried out as a nation abroad have come home.

It's truly unbelievable how many unconscious idiots scroll through TikTok videos with full volume speakerphone in restaurants and indoor spaces. Shameless insanity that should be stigmatized hard.
LOL the Nazi comparisons are not only spot on, but downright hilarious! 😂
Stephen Miller is the architect of ALL of this Nazi ideology. He convinced Dumbass Donnie that he could take over America by force. It was Miller who pardoned 1600 J6 goons, Miller who declared lethal action is warranted. He created the mechanization that murdered Good and Pretti.

Republican politicians who think that Minneapolis is a political problem are missing the point. It is a moral problem. But they are in so deep that they cannot see just how morally bankrupt they have become. They do not understand that we are as revulsed by their complicity as by Trump's cruelty.
Why is the graph backwards?
in times of turmoil it is very easy to feel like theres nothing you can do to help, especially if you are far away, but i promise buckaroo EVERYTHING helps. there is direct action like donating money or protesting, and there is cultural action like creating art and cultivating atmosphere of change
Illustration of a sundial, with a large heading that says “Use Real Time”, and three smaller headings that say “Circadian Alignment”, “Morning Sunlight”, and “Permanent Standard Time”.
Use Real Time! Permanent Standard Time approximates natural solar time, for best sleep and circadian health. Ditch Daylight Saving Time!
