I really enjoyed this. A few things came to mind. Despite the gap in stockpile numbers, there's something to be said for China's rapid increase. It would be nice to deal with this issue sooner than later. And, on the military spending, I don't think his donors would ever let that fly unfortunately.

This is out of touch

There's a lot of people who have never known anything different.

I don't usually interact with social media. I'm more of a shadowed lurker.
I made this account to try interacting more and 'find my voice in the void'. We'll see how it goes.

This is what really gets to me too. They'll tell you AI will solve every problem but not how. It's just assumed that it's going to change the world in such a way that everything is better. It's the new snake oil.

I'm sick of AI. It's not going to solve our problems, it's just creating new ones. And distracting from real solutions that are worth the time and money. Let's move on.
