Whiteboard on an office door with black marker doodles of Snoopy and three cats. One of the cats is saying "You're doing great."
This is the whiteboard on my office door. I'm not sure who has added these details, but I appreciate the gesture.
"The Dispossessed has matured my political views, reshaped my values, and changed my life. Reading it showed me how to confront a political landscape increasingly hostile to productive dialogue." —Alec del Pino Gil-Casares in The Harvard Political Review
It's spring which means it's time to clear out your old ear hairs to allow for new growth.
This is AMAZING.
Orban achieved a level of authoritarian consolidation unthinkable here and they still successfully got rid of him. Never let the doomers have the final say.
We're watching a theatrical reading of Aphra Behn's The Rover (1677).

Actually, the whole magazine section is pretty grim.
Just now learning about Brooks Otterlake

Today I read some poems at the Scissortail festival in Ada, Oklahoma. And I met some lovely poets.

Thank you!
Again, THIS
Thanks so much to ANMLY for believing in this poem!
Today I'm participating in a generative writing workshop-- my first one!
We attended No Kings in Knoxville yesterday.
Now we're seated for Julian Lage on the last day of Big Ears.
So much beauty this weekend. And some hope.
So glad to hear the theater is thriving again! (We are in OKC now)
Yay Oklahoma!
Not sure I can do this again.
So many great memories of that place.
