"Painting With Priests" is the document of an improvised live show in Italy. It was also the first time that Steven Stapleton (known for "Nurse With Wound," but also with Coil and Current 93) and Christoph Heemann (a longtime high-end collaborator) played together. The results are cosmic and unusual. Limited edition of 700 vinyl copies on Elicia/Robot Records.
Painting With Priests.
This is not just art — it’s a visual philosophy.
Each illustration invites you to pause, reflect, and see differently.
Inspired by the textures of perception, time, and consciousness,

About this artwork This image depicts two figures wrapped in white, bleached gauze, their heads bound together to form a cocoon-like, sculptural form. Like many of Mapplethorpe's photographs, it strikes a careful balance between confinement and freedom, ecstasy and pain. Mapplethorpe was inspired throughout his career by Auguste Rodin's expressive and erotic sculptures of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and this influence is evident in the sensual movement and energy of this photograph. Artist: Robert Mapplethorpe (1946-1989) American Title: White Gauze

A narrow, foggy alleyway cluttered with numerous mannequins, some partially draped in fabric. A man in a suit stands among the mannequins, examining one closely. The scene has a vintage, almost eerie atmosphere, with soft lighting that enhances the mysterious feel of the setting. The alley is lined with old buildings, and the ground is littered with debris, adding to the sense of abandonment.
