I was just told that I have to remove “climate” from the title of an ongoing grant if I want to keep it. And publications from that grant cannot include “climate” and other forbidden words. I can’t believe I’m writing this from the United States of America. #AcademicSky
We found that SSTs in the Gulf of Oman are more sensitive to climate variations compared to other regions in the Arabian Sea. Interestingly, a strong cooling trend during the LGM is not that obvious if we compare this with other regional records.
I am really happy to share our newest paper on SST reconstruction from the Arabian Sea. The paper is based on the results of Jan Maier’s master thesis within #CLICCS @cenunihh.bsky.social. He is the first author of the paper and now a PhD student at @fau.de. Great work Jan!
