This means that it's value comes from two things:
If you offload search to google let's say but still have a functional distributed social network you aren't back where you started.

I understand what you are saying but I don't think that being part of "the majority" regardless of the term used has any cultural value at this point and as such people will seek out other identities to try to avoid being a part of it.
I mean, on the one hand you are right that "White" has expanded, but on the other I think that it is actually more likely to shrink than expand going forward and it has nothing to really do with immigration. It's just not a terribly attractive cultural association at the moment.
