Im doing a second read of this for annotations, and I don’t think I’ve ever been more totally normal about a book in my whole life. This books makes so so incredibly normal I don’t think I could be more normal about anything. It’s not like when something happens I’m giggling and kicking my feet

3/3 Obviously not your gonna think they’re saying that your gonna die and your lover will find someone else. THAT IS WHAT ODYSSEUS HEARS. Not to mention the fact that it’s a PROPHECY he’s not SUPPOSED to understand it until it starts happening it baffles me how people seems to understand that

2/3 Odysseus however, does NOT because he’s the one actively EXPERIENCING the things that happen. If you go to a fortune teller and they say that you’re gonna draw your final breath and your lover will be with a different person, are you really gonna think they’re saying that you change as a person?

1/3 Idk how other people feel about this but personally it annoys me when people in the EPIC fandom say that “the prophecy is obvious how can he not understand it’s about him” like yes, it is obvious, to US. Because we already know how the story ends. WE have the background information.
