If I could go back in time and meet anyone

I mean… here’s what I do: a skim coat of butter on the bread BEFORE toasting, then a good schmear right out of the heat. My butter is always room temp.

Once again the secret to delicious delicious food is shedding the Protestant-ass pilgrim-bitch austerity approach to seasoning and going for broke. A sprinkle of cinnamon? Try 3 grams. A single bay leaf for a whole pot of soup? Put 8. Use the salted butter. Black pepper as an INGREDIENT.

Truly no one prolly gives a shit about this at this point but i just need to say i cracked the ratio to recreate The Mills cinammon toast at home and it’s roughly 2:1 brown sugar to cinammon; mixed, and thats starting with at LEAST a 1/2 tsp cinammon, PER SLICE.

Top with flaky salt.

A bowl of pad kaphrao nuea khai dao, or holy basil mince beef with a fried egg, sitting on a sunny window sill.
