HBD, and thanks for composing a birthday message that is refreshingly critical of the status quo, that is, our culture's thinness ideal. Brava! May many hear it, take it in, and maybe begin to question core beliefs about valuing thinness above all else.
UPDATE‼️The Hill reports at least 4,100 employees fired today as Russell Vought and Trump devastate our government agencies and slash the federal workforce.

No kid in America should not have enough food. If we want to feed kids we have to know how many kids need to be fed. Ignoring and avoiding such an important issue will only make it worse.
Spread the word and call your legislators. We can make a difference and keep kids fed.
If the annual food insecurity survey is canceled - the US has no way to monitor how often this experience is happening.
1 in 5 children in Kentucky are food insecure (do not have enough to eat). This is a 48% rise in two years.
In addition to our TT assistant professor position, we are also hiring an open rank position with our Clinical Child position. www.ohiouniversityjobs.com/postings/55336
The University of Calgary is currently inviting applications for an Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track) in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. This position has a special focus on Social Justice and ideally on Indigenous Employment.

My MSc students are conducting an important research project exploring body image and eating behaviours among men. While we know that men can and do struggle with these issues, it remains a topic that is often under-researched and overlooked.

Eating disorders are among the deadliest mental health conditions & they often become chronic.
Yet Trump’s HHS is cutting eating disorder research & the MAHA report doesn’t mention them.
This isn’t just suppressing science - it’s a decision that will cost lives.

eating disorder research was already so severely underfunded - 7 terminated grants is devastating to our field!
You gave an outstanding talk on the fascinating, important work you are doing. Brava!
Ditto. Fantastic job! Congratulations to you and the program committee!

Agree! Might it be another example of overlooking/underestimating the prevalence and impact of eating disorders, perhaps because they were previously thought to affect females almost exclusively?
The link seems to be broken...
Putting it out into the world that I'm looking for a job in patient/clinical outcomes research for mental health (preferably in eating disorders or with kiddos). My goal has always been to get treatment to people and figure out how to make it as good as it can be for them!
