Met police arrested a woman in her 90s today, and a number of retired medics (amongst others). This is not right. We need to protect our democratic right to protest. They were peaceful protesters doing nothing more than holding a sign with non-violent words. This cannot be a crime.

It’s hard to deliver transformation in a sector with no capacity for change, and I don’t believe it’s in the gift of those working locally to solve this. National policies, guidance and support to reduce risk/duplication would help, as would seed funding, and more national systems & solutions
